Raphinha leads the scoring charts
Raphinha has scored 12 league goals already — five more than anyone else. Kylian Mbappé, Lamine Yamal, Rayo Vallecano's Sergio Camello and Racing Santander's Yassir Zabiri are next on seven each. Follow the race on our LaLiga top scorers page.
A busy summer for the big three
Barcelona strengthened with Rodri, Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi. Real Madrid signed Yan Diomande and Marc Cucurella, while Atlético Madrid added Morten Hjulmand and Álex Grimaldo.
Mourinho is back at Real Madrid
The biggest story off the pitch is José Mourinho's return to the Bernabéu, tasked with bringing the title back after two seasons without it. Real Madrid are six points behind Barcelona, but they showed their resilience in midweek with a 4–3 Champions League comeback win at Roma.
Atlético and Betis in the chasing pack
Diego Simeone's Atlético Madrid, looking for their first league title since 2020-21, are second on goal difference ahead of Real Betis — one of the surprises of the early season.
The newcomers
Deportivo de La Coruña, Málaga and Racing Santander were promoted this summer, replacing Mallorca, Girona and Oviedo. Deportivo have made the best start of the three and sit eighth.
What's next
Barcelona's perfect run faces a big test in Europe on Tuesday, when they visit Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
